Brescia – Capital of Culture 2023

www.bresciatourism.it

The northern Italian cities of Bergamo and Brescia share the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2023.

Only about 45 minutes by car from Lake Idro, Brescia is dominated by the Cidneo hill and the Castello di Brescia. The charming old town invites you to discover neoclassical buildings and Renaissance palazzi, inviting squares, the Old and New Cathedral and the 16th century clock tower. Don’t miss a visit to the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Civic Museum of Brescia, housed in the former Benedictine convent of Santa Giulia, and the Brixia Romana Archaeological Park, where a stroll will take you back to ancient Rome.
